I really appreciated that Elaine didn't take the typical route of having the female lead be a damsel in distress.

Instead, Zena is a strong and capable woman who holds her own throughout the book.

I personally found Zena to be the most compelling character in the book.

Her struggle to maintain her position as a capable and worthy Alpha in the face of Lukas's objections while also navigating their newfound mating bond, made for an interesting and dynamic storyline.

The character development of Lukas was also a standout aspect for me. I enjoyed watching Lukas grow and change throughout the book.

The tension and conflict between the two leads makes for a really compelling read.

Elaine’s writing style is fun and unique, and the book left me feeling empowered as a woman.

It's definitely worth checking out!
