M's Fiction Universe - Book Blog

Hello, my bookworms!

Are you a fan of time-travel books? Or, do you enjoy reading the forbidden love between a human and a ghost?

Will you be thrilled if I tell you I have found a novel which includes both concepts?

Let’s talk about it.

(Disclaimer: The status, title, cover, and link of free novels on book platforms such as Wattpad and Inkitt are subject to change based on the author.)

Title: Hearts Through Time
Author: Marie Higgins
Genre: Romance, Time-travel, Mystery, Historical
Status: Free Story, Completed
Platform: Wattpad

Read Book Review: Alpha Zena by Elaine Waters

Summary

A beautiful heiress was murdered in 1912. Her soul needed someone to solve her murder case in order to pass onto next life.

However, she was pitifully stuck in the building where she died until the 21st century because nobody could see or hear her.

Finally, she met a man who could free her from her personal hell and send her to peace.

But, when the love bloomed between her and her savior while solving the case, and her savior didn't want to lose her even though they didn't belong in the same dimension, things became complicated.

Read Book Review: Bailing Out by Adelina Jaden

Suitable Audience

If you enjoy such novels that take the reader on a journey of a forbidden love or if you are a lover of crime and time travel stories, I am sure you will be immediately drawn to this book.

My thoughts

Marie Higgins is one of my favorite Wattpad authors in the historical genre. Though almost all of her novels are mysterious, her writing style is gentle.

She has a talent for crafting vivid descriptions that bring the scenes to life. Also, her characters are well-developed and easy to connect with.

Hearts Through Time has a unique plot which includes the blend of crime and time travel. The story is so intriguing that it’s difficult to guess what will happen next.

Read Book Review: Catching Genesis by Nicole Riddley

What I loved most about this novel is the romance that blooms between the two main characters. The love story is tender, passionate, and heartwarming.

I found myself rooting for them and hoping that they would find a way to be together despite their obvious life status of living and dead.

So, if you want to put yourself in their shoes and experience a love that will transport you to different dimensions and leave you with a warm feeling in your heart, give Hearts Through Time by Marie Higgins a look.

With love,

Mora

Title: Bailing Out (Riders of Tyr Book 1)
Author: Adelina Jaden
Genre: Romance, Action, MC, Mature
Status: Free Story, Completed
Platform: Inkitt

Summary

Bailing Out is book one of the Rider of Tyr series and we follow Ava and Bjorn there.

Ava is a bounty hunter who is on the trail of a dangerous outlaw in Berkeley but later she discovers that a rival motorcycle club is after the same man.

She must team up with one of their members, the hot sexy haughty biker, Bjorn.

Bjorn is a brother of the Riders of Tyr, a motorcycle club that he has been tied to his whole life.

When his President orders him to blow up a member of the rival gang, he never expects to end up working with a stubborn bada*s bounty hunter, Ava.

What he also doesn’t expect is that Ava is also a wayward mafia princess with a dark past.

Read Book Review: The Lotus Keeper by Leeann Mays

Suitable Audience

You enjoy handsome yet intimidating men on Harley? Read this book.

You also love bada*s female lead? Read this book.

This is a MC novel, so expect violent actions, crude language, and mature scenes.

My thoughts

You know . . .  I always enjoy books with strong female leads.

Ava is exactly what I expect, if not more than that. She is tough and independent; a woman who hunts and knows what she wants.

Bjorn, on the other hand, is a fierce and passionate character who is exceptionally loyal to his club.

In terms of the plot and writing style, I would crown Adelina Jaden as one of the queen authors of MC theme novels.

Her portrayal of the world of motorcycle clubs, as well as emotions and actions of her characters are one of a kind.

It’s very enjoyable to read Ava’s undeniable attraction to Bjorn's bad-boy charm and Bjorn’s growing feelings for Ava.

And yet they are trying to kill off the spark between them due to their respective past.

Though Bailing Out is not my favorite book in the Riders of Tyr series, I have no doubt that it’s an incredible novel.

And this book is the starting point of my journey to my most loved novel in the Riders of Tyr series.

With love,

Mora

Hello, my bookworms!

As book lovers, we all know the joy of getting lost in a good story.

But with the rise of e-books, many of us are left wondering . . . which is better, reading a physical book or an e-book?

Physical Books

Let's start with the pros of reading physical books.

For one, there's just something magical about holding a book in your hands.

The feel of the pages, the smell of the ink and the weight of the book all contribute to the reading experience.

Plus, physical books don't require any batteries or chargers. So, you don't have to worry about running out of power.

But physical books can also have some downsides.

They can take up a lot of space in your place. It’s also difficult to carry multiple books with you on-the-go.

They can be heavy and cumbersome, too, especially if you're reading a thick novel.

It might also make a dent in your wallet as physical books are more expensive than their e-book counterparts.

E-books

Now looking at e-books, they have their own set of pros and cons.

One of the biggest benefits of e-books is their convenience. With just one device, you can carry hundreds of books with you wherever you go.

E-books are often less expensive than physical books, obviously, and you can even borrow e-books for free from your local library.

However, e-books also have their flaws.

For some readers, the lack of a physical book can detract from the reading experience.

If you're reading for extended periods of time, reading from a screen can cause eye strain and fatigue.

And, you forget to charge your device? You're out of luck!

Which is better?

The answer is, well, it depends on your personal preferences and your life style.

You mostly reside in one place? You love the feel of a physical book in your hands? Don't mind the extra cost and weight?

Then, physical books might be the way to go.

But, if you are constantly travelling and value convenience, apparently, e-books will be the better choice for you.

At the end of the day, what matters most is that you're reading and enjoying the books you love.

So, whether you prefer physical books, e-books or a combination of both, just keep exploring the wonderful world of literature.

With love,

Mora

Title: Catching Genesis
Author: Nicole Riddley
Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Werewolf, Mature
Status: Published
Platform: Amazon

Summary

Genesis Fairchild is a witty high school student who is labelled as an omega though she is not even one.

Her heart has been broken after a rejection from Logan, the next Alpha and her mate. She has also been suffering from physical pain because of Logan’s man-wh*re behaviors.

But with the help of her best friends, Genesis comes up with a plan to give Logan a taste of his own medicine.

This is where the silver-gray-eyed royal lycan, Constantine, enters the picture. What she didn’t know is that Constantine has been watching her from afar for a few years.

Then, Genesis is introduced into the world of lycan royalty and Constantine’s deep-rooted affection for her.

At the same time, she has to deal with the retracting rejection from Logan and his determination to claim her as his mate.

Suitable Audience

Catching Genesis is a perfect read for fans of werewolf/lycan blend novels and those who enjoy fantasy romance.

If you're looking for a book that showcases a love triangle among a royal lycan, a powerful yet oppressed omega, and an Alpha werewolf, then this book is definitely for you.

But beware. There are some mature scenes, too.

My thoughts

Nicole Riddley did a fantastic job of creating a world full of arrogant werewolves, royal brats and an irresistible lycan god.

Genesis was such a witty character and her comebacks had me laughing out loud. It was a great balance to the more intense moments in the story.

And let me tell you, there were some intense moments!

I also love the dynamic between Genesis and Constantine. Their chemistry was electric and the way they challenged each other was so much fun to read.

Genesis's journey to finding herself and accepting love pretty much resonated with me.

The powerful message from the story is that it's okay to take your time and wait for the right person to come into your life.

And, it's okay to let them in and allow yourself to love and be loved when that person does come.

So, I highly recommend this book to all romance, fantasy, and humor lovers out there.

Happy reading!

With love,
Mora

Hello my bookworms!

This time, I want to talk about my all-time favourite novel, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

I am sure most of you are familiar with the title even if you haven’t read the book yet. After all, Wuthering Heights is one of the most renowned novels in the English literary canon.

It’s also regarded as the most haunting love story in English Literature.

Title: Wuthering Heights
Author: Emily Bronte
Genre: Classic, Romance
Status: Published (first published in 1847)
Platform: Amazon

Summary

Wuthering Heights tells the story of the passionate and turbulent love affair between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, two young people growing up in the harsh and isolated moors of northern England.

Their love was a fierce and all-consuming one, born out of the intense isolation and loneliness of their upbringing in the bleak and wind-swept moors.

Despite their differences in background and social status, they were inseparable and their love for each other became a driving force in their lives.

However, as they grew older, their relationship became increasingly complex, with Catherine torn between her love for Heathcliff and her desire to maintain her social class by marrying the wealthy Edgar Linton.

This ultimately led to Heathcliff's vengeful actions causing immense suffering to those around him resulting in a series of events that were both tragic and unforgettable.

Suitable Audience

Despite its daunting reputation in English literature, Wuthering Heights is a thrilling, heart-wrenching, and ultimately unforgettable novel.

Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to the world of classic literature, Wuthering Heights is a novel that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Its portrayal of human emotion, relationships, and societal class continues to captivate and inspire readers, making it a must-read for anyone interested in somewhat dark romance style classic literature.

Read Book Review: Catching Genesis by Nicole Riddley

My thoughts

One of the many things that makes Wuthering Heights such a captivating and memorable novel is the way in which it explores the theme of love.

From the intense passion of Catherine and Heathcliff's relationship to the more complex and nuanced relationships between the other characters, Wuthering Heights offers a rich and insightful perspective on love in all its many forms.

Whether it is the love of a parent for a child, the love of siblings, or the love of a man for a woman, the book is deeply attuned to the emotional landscape of human relationships.

The characters in Wuthering Heights are far from perfect.

Heathcliff, in particular, in my opinion, is a difficult and unsympathetic figure. But it is his complexity and contradictions that make him such a compelling character.

Emily Bronte's writing is nothing short of a tour de force.

Her descriptions of the moors and the landscapes of northern England are vivid and evocative, and her characterizations are rich and nuanced.

The book is written in a style that is both atmospheric and intense with a narrative voice that is both intimate and distant at the same time.

Her employment of a non-linear narrative structure, alternating between the perspectives of different characters and jumping back and forth in time, adds to the novel's sense of mystery and intrigue, making the reading experience all the more immersive.

Overall, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is a classic romance novel that is both timeless and deeply affecting.

Its intense psychological depth, vivid descriptions, its rich characters, haunting setting, captivating story and complex themes make it the No.1 of my all-time favourite books list.

With love,
Mora
