M's Fiction Universe - Book Blog

Hello my bookworms!

Let’s explore the mafia world today!

I will introduce you to one of my favorite mafia-theme books titled Diavolo written by T. A. Fan.

I can definitely say this is one of the best novels on Wattpad.

Title: Diavolo
Author: T. A. Fan
Genre: Action, Mafia, Romance, Mature
Status: Paid Story
Platform: Wattpad

Read Book Review: Bailing Out by Adelina Jaden

Summary

Dr. Elyse Romero is a trauma surgeon who has found herself indebted to the mafia and is facing hardships in her life due to her father's condition.

One day, she has to save a handsome stranger in the dead of night.

Thanks to the man (or shall we call him a devil?), her entire life is altered after that eventful encounter.

Why?

Because that handsome man she saved is none other than the infamous mafia don, Alessandro Vitale.

He presents her with an opportunity to pay off her debt through an arranged marriage with him.

What will she do?

Read Book Review: Silently Falling by Liz Plum

Suitable Audience

This novel is suitable for mature readers who enjoy mafia books and don't mind erotic scenes as well as violent scenes.

My Thoughts

The storyline is fantastic. The plot twists and turns are very unexpected.

The book is well-paced, with just the right amount of action and romance to keep you hooked.

T. A. Fan's writing style is descriptive and engaging, making it easy to get lost in the story.

Also, the vocabularies, grammar, and punctuations used in the book are at a professional level.

When looking at the characters, it’s obvious that Elyse is strong and rational from the start.

Yes, she's initially hesitant to accept the marriage proposal.

But when she navigates Alessandro Vitale’s dangerous world and learns more about him or when secrets about her life she never imagined are also revealed to her, we can see that she faces them with her rational mind and never lets her cool lose.

And Alessandro, despite his reputation as a mafia don, is determined and loyal which I like a lot.

Though his rough exterior is apparent to other people, he has a vulnerable side that he only shows to Elyse.

One of the strongest aspects of this book in my opinion is the interaction between two leads.

I really love how they treat each other with respect and love.

Also, I can see the power couple in them. They both are mature and very logical even cunning sometimes.

So, if you enjoy mafia romances with a hint of danger, trust me, this book is definitely worth checking out.

With love,

Mora

Hello my bookworms!

If you're in the mood for a classic tale of mystery and romance, look no further than Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is a famous classic novel, so I’m sure you have heard of it even if you haven’t read it yet.

This novel is a masterful exploration of jealousy, betrayal, and the complexities of human relationships.

Title: Rebecca
Author: Daphne du Marie
Genre: Classic, Romance, Mystery

Platform: Amazon

Read Book Review: Declan by Melissa White

Summary

Rebecca by Daphne du Marie follows a young woman who marries a wealthy widower, Maxim de Winter, and moves with him to his grand estate, Manderley.

But as she settles into her new life as Mrs. de Winter, she finds herself haunted by the memory of her husband's first wife, Rebecca, whose presence seems to linger in every corner of the house.

Read Book Review: Alpha Zena by Elaine Waters

Suitable Audience

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is a classic novel that will appeal to a wide range of readers, from fans of gothic romance to those who simply enjoy a well-crafted mystery.

It's a timeless classic that still manages to feel fresh and relevant today, more than 80 years even after its initial publication.

My thoughts

I feel sorry for the female lead whenever I read this book.

She is always overshadowed by the memory of the first wife, Rebecca. Whatever she does, her new husband's family and staff are comparing her with the late wife.

She has to come to terms with her own sense of self and find the strength to stand up for herself in a world that seems determined to crush her.

Mr. de Winter, on the other hand, is not able to show his real emotions to his new wife as he is haunted by the events between him and his first wife.

What I love most about the book is the sense of atmosphere that du Maurier creates.

Manderley is almost a character in itself with its sprawling grounds, imposing architecture, and sinister secrets lurking around every corner.

Not only that, the specter of Rebecca looms over the entire story, casting a shadow over the characters' lives and relationships.

Read Book Review: Hearts Through Time by Marie Higgins

Du Maurier's writing style is elegant and evocative, perfectly capturing the haunting atmosphere of Manderley and the complex emotions of the characters.

Her plot is gripping and full of twists and turns. Her characters are richly drawn, with even the most minor figures given depth and complexity.

The way the mystery is resolved is both thrilling and thought-provoking.

So, why not curl up with a cup of tea and lose yourself in the twisted, haunting world of Manderley?

You won't regret it.

With love,

Mora

Summary

Declan Packard whose call name is Boss in the team, is a dominating and powerful leader of the Special Ops Alpha team at Knight Security.

He's a man who values control above all else. He takes his missions and his teammates seriously.

Love has never been a part of Declan's vocabulary. But when he meets Lexi Bradshaw, everything changes.

Lexi is a kind woman and is a close friend of the IT specialist at Knight Security.

She has recently broken up with her abusive boyfriend and is visiting her friend in Knight Security.

When Lexi and Declan meet for the first time, sparks fly and every protective and possessive fiber of Declan's being awakens.

But when Lexi's past comes back to haunt her, Declan must learn to surrender his need for control and Lexi has to be tough in order to save her life.

Read Book Review: The Lotus Keeper by Leeann Mays

Suitable Audience

This book is suitable for fans of the action genre especially in the setting of special forces and rescue missions.

But be aware that this novel contains explicit language, sexual content, and depictions of domestic abuse and physical torture.

So, if you think you might be triggered by these, please move to another suitable book.

My thoughts

Declan is a complex character who struggles with his emotions.

While he is an effective and efficient leader in his job, he is an amateur in romantic relationships.

This leads to several wrong decisions regarding his relationship with Lexi.

I wanted to knock some sense in his head, sometimes, while reading the book.

Lexi appears to be soft and push-over on the outside, but deep down, she is an emotionally strong and independent woman who is not afraid to fight for what she believes in.

Despite the differences and hardships in their relationship, there is no doubt that their relationship is intense and passionate.

Melissa White is one of my favourite Wattpad authors. I stumbled upon her books unexpectedly and I am glad that I did.

She is very vivid and creative in her description of the settings and portrayal of her characters.

Though Declan (I mean the title not the male lead) is not the most dramatic in Knight Security series, it’s a fantastic read that will appeal to anyone who loves action-packed stories with a touch of romance.

So, buckle up, and get ready for the ride of your life!

With love,

Mora

Hello, my bookworms!

Today, I want to talk about one significant novel in the YA genre, Silently Falling by Liz Plum.

This Young Adult book tells the story of a young girl who has been through a terrible tragedy which left her struggling to find her voice and a boy fresh out of a juvenile prison.

(Disclaimer: The status, title, cover, and link of free novels on book platforms such as Wattpad and Inkitt are subject to change based on the author.)

Summary

Raine lost her voice after she was r*ped by her brother’s friend.

Three years later, she is still walled in her silence. If she has to communicate, she does it through her hands.

Surrounded by her brother and her best friends, Raine got used to this way of life.

She makes it her refuge until a new student arrives at the school and comes to crack the ramparts that she had carefully erected around her.

Fresh out of a juvenile prison, West is considered a bad boy in her school.

And for some reason, he is determined to get close to Raine.

He teases her constantly, flirts with her openly and goes so far as to ask her to teach him sign language.

What Raine doesn't know is that the person who put West to the prison is the father of Raine’s r*pist.

Read Book Review: Hearts Through Time by Marie Higgins

Suitable Audience

If you're looking for a heartfelt and emotional read in YA fiction, then Silently Falling by Liz Plum is the perfect choice.

But if you are not comfortable with sensitive topics such as r*pe and domestic abuse, skip to another suitable book.

My thoughts

Liz Plum's writing is incredibly powerful.

She does an amazing job of delving into Raine's emotional journey and showing us how she copes with the aftermath of her trauma.

She also makes readers like us want to become a character and beat the s*it out of Raine’s r*pist.

Why?

Because, before the last part of the book, that r*pist was still roaming freely around Raine and taunting her, with no serious punishment even after what he did to her. . .  all thanks to his powerful father who ruined West’s life.

For outsiders, West is the definition of the bad boy that every good girl knows she should stay away from.

But when you know who he really is you will admire his protectiveness over his loved ones, in this case his mother, his younger brother and of course, Raine.

The relationship between Raine and West is complex and multifaceted.

Read Book Review: Catching Genesis by Nicole Riddley

Liz Plum does a great job of exploring the many layers of their connection.

It’s really an emotional roller-coaster ride following the journey of Raine and West; from Raine's inability to speak out about what happened to her, to how she finds her voice again and seeks for justice because of West.

So, if you like a beautiful and moving story about love, loss, and the power of finding your voice, give Silently Falling a try.

With love,

Mora
