Read Book Review: Storm and Silence by Robert Thier

Suitable Audience

If you're a fan of thrilling adventures, snarky banter, and unexpected romance, ‘Masked’ is the book for you.

It's perfect for readers who enjoy a mix of action, suspense, and a touch of supernatural allure.

My Thoughts

Parker Johnson, our fierce and tech-savvy heroine, is a force to be reckoned with.
Her wit, intelligence, and determination make her a compelling protagonist.

As for Daniel Locke, the brooding werewolf alpha, his icy exterior hides a deeply caring nature.

Together, their chemistry sizzles, and their constant bickering adds a touch of humor to the story.

M Greenhill takes readers on a thrilling journey through a world threatened by a devastating virus.

The plot is action-packed, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Read Book Review: Silently Falling by Liz Plum

The pacing is excellent, and the author seamlessly weaves together elements of suspense, romance, and the supernatural.

The dialogue is snappy and entertaining, filled with humorous exchanges between Parker and Daniel.

There is no doubt that the author deserves the award.

With its strong characters, compelling plot, and humorous writing style, this book is a must-read for fans of supernatural thrillers.

So, grab a copy, buckle up, and prepare for an exhilarating ride through a world where danger lurks around every corner, and love might just save the day.

Hello, my bookworms!

I found a hidden gem. . . a wonderful epic time travel novel. . . on Inkitt!

I have made a teaser for this story (yes, I am crazy about this book and I can’t help). You can find it here if you don’t mind spoilers.

(Disclaimer: The status, title, cover, and link of free novels on book platforms such as Wattpad and Inkitt are subject to change based on the author.)

Title: Married to the Villain
Author: Coko Rose
Genre: Historical, Romance, Action, Time-travel
Status: Free Story, Completed
Platform: Inkitt

Summary

Alice Edwards is a cop in 21st century NYC until one day she's shot by a culprit her team had been tracking down and wakes up with a completely different face and body, in a completely different era or rather world.

In this new world, she is known as Lady Helena, the second wife of Emperor Hanes.

As she tries to navigate this new life and adapt to the cold and ruthless nature of her new husband, Alice realizes that she is actually living in a book which her boyfriend from 21st century wrote, and that Hanes is the villain.

Suitable Audience

Married to the Villain will appeal to you if you enjoy romance, time-travel, and political intrigue.

But, due to some mature themes and scenes of violence, this novel may not be suitable for you if you’re underage.

My Thoughts

I love everything about this book – the plot, the characters, and the writing style.

The author created her story in the backdrop of assassinations, wars between kingdoms and bloodthirsty struggles for power.

Alice and Lady Helena are so different in both appearance and personality that reading Alice in Lady Helena’s body is totally awkward and hilarious.

Though Hanes is portrayed as an Emperor with his stunning good looks, pure royal blood lineage, intelligence- and unparalleled cruelty and mercilessness, I feel really sorry for him as the story unfolds.

Vincen, is the son of a very powerful minister in Hanes' court, good looking and noble male lead of the book Alice is in.

Alice’s boyfriend from 21st century, Vincent, created this Vincen character based on himself.

It’s heartwarming to feel Vincen’s love for Lady Helena/Alice through the book.

The portrayal of the jealousy and bitterness of Empress Carlana, Hanes's first wife who is the daughter of Henes’s mentor, a powerful minister, is flawless.

It’s quite satisfying to read the scenes where Hanes frankly shows the fact that he only sees her as a younger sister although she is deeply in love with him.

The other characters in the story such as the various ministers and advisors, and Lady Helena’s siblings are also well-crafted and add depth to the world-building.

Coko Rose's writing style is one of a kind.

Her use of multiple narrators adds an extra layer of depth to the story, allowing readers to see events from different perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of the characters' motivations and feelings.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an engaging and immersive read that will last in their memory for a long time.

Mora

Hello, my bookworms!

Let’s try hot and spicy this time. My recommendation is. . .  Our Wicked Cravings by M L Smith!

This is a stepbrother-stepsister steamy action romance novel with a mafia theme.

Summary

Ronan has been harboring intense feelings for his step-sister Mina, but he's kept them hidden, waiting for the right moment to make his move.

Finally, five years after she left Boston and him behind, he sees her in a club for sexual deviants and he's determined to have her.

He'll stop at nothing to claim her as his own, even if it means crossing lines and breaking taboos.

Read Book Review: Catching Genesis by Nicole Riddley

Mina never thought she'd have to face her step-brother again after their painful goodbye years ago.

But now she's back in town, and Ronan has her firmly in his grip.

She's torn between her attraction to him and the outside forces that threaten to tear them apart.

Read Book Review: Declan by Melissa White

Suitable Audience

This is a dark romance erotica novel with a stepsibling, mafia, and billionaire trope.

So, expect lots and lots of steamy and mature scenes.

My Thoughts

It all started when Ronan's father married Mina's mom when they were young.

Though Ronan is the ruthless new don of the mafia, he is not a womanizer which is typical for a mafia don in most novels.

Mina is portrayed as a stubborn yet gentle young woman who stole Ronan’s heart.

I like the fact that the attraction between these two never diminishes even after their long-term separation.

Read Book Review: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

I’ve crowned M L Smith as a queen of erotica on Inkitt after reading one of her books for the first time.

She includes a perfect blend of swoon, action, spice, and violence in all her books.

Have a taste of this book and you will be left hot and bothered after tasting her spicy creativity.

With love,

Mora

Hello my bookworms!

Would you like to have a good laugh while reading a historical novel?

Look no further than Storm and Silence by Robert Thier, a historical fiction novel set in Victorian England.

The novel has gained popularity for its witty dialogue, strong and independent female protagonist, and the slow-burning romance between Lilly and Mr. Ambrose.

She met Rikkard Ambrose, the brooding and enigmatic owner of a large company who offered her his secretary position after a fateful encounter, without realizing Lily was a female.

When Mr. Ambrose found out the true gender of his new secretary, the two engaged in a battle of wills as Lilly tried to prove herself as a capable employee.

Suitable Audience

The novel would likely appeal to fans of historical fiction, strong female protagonists, and slow-burning romance.

But the book does contain some mature themes and scenes of violence, which may not be suitable for all audiences.

My Thoughts

I have never laughed out loud while reading a book until this novel.

I can still hear Mr. Ambrose’s “Knowledge is power is time is money.” and Lily’s “Mr. Ambrose, Sir!”

It’s amusing to read the interaction between a determined and witty female lead, and a cold and unapproachable workaholic male lead.

Robert Thier’s writing style is one of a kind. His attention to historical detail is impressive.

I love the well-placed humor and banter between the characters.

I also like the fact that the supporting characters in the book are equally well-developed, with Thier providing insight into their individual backgrounds and motivations.

The antagonist of the story is also well-crafted adding an extra layer of tension and intrigue to the plot.

Trust me, you won’t regret it if you give this book a try.

Hello my bookworms!

Let’s talk about College New Adult Romance today.

The book I will be reviewing is one of the sensational novels on Wattpad and now a popular published book.

Guess what? Yes! It’s ‘Chasing Red' by Isabelle Ronin.

The story also has a squeal titled ‘Always Red’.

Title: Chasing Red
Author: Isabelle Ronin
Genre: Romance, Mature
Status: Published
Platform: Amazon

Read Book Review: Silently Falling by Liz Plum

Summary

Chasing Red follows the story of Caleb and Veronica, two people who seem to have nothing in common, but are drawn together by an intense attraction.

Caleb is a brooding bad boy who doesn't do relationships, while Veronica is a sweet and innocent college student who is looking for love.

Despite their differences, they can't stay away from each other, and their relationship is full of ups and downs as they navigate their feelings and the challenges that come their way.

But how will they overcome the biggest obstacles, Caleb’s mother and Caleb’s childhood friend who is obsessed with him?

Suitable Audience

If you love steamy romances with plenty of drama and tension, then Chasing Red is the book for you.

It's perfect for anyone who loves bad boy heroes and strong-willed heroines.

Read Book Review: Catching Genesis by Nicole Riddley

My Thoughts

Caleb is the ultimate bad boy. I think, for girls who are attracted to bad boys, it's hard not to fall for him.

Despite his tough exterior, there are moments when he shows his vulnerable side. I am sure that’s the reason which makes him all the more irresistible to Veronica.

Veronica, on the other hand, is a strong character who is easy to root for. She's smart, funny, and has a good head on her shoulders.

The plot of Chasing Red is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

There are moments when you'll be swooning over Caleb and Veronica's romance, and other times when you'll be clutching your heart as they face challenges and obstacles that threaten to tear them apart.

The pacing of the story is just right, and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked until the very end.

Isabelle Ronin's writing style is engaging and easy to read.

She has a way of creating characters that feel real, and her dialogue is both witty and natural.

She knows how to build tension and suspense, and her steamy scenes are sure to leave you fanning yourself.

Overall, Chasing Red is a must-read for anyone who loves a good contemporary romance.

With its engaging plot, relatable characters, and swoon-worthy romance, it's no wonder that this book has become a fan favorite.

With love,

Mora
